Why Are We Doing This Study?

This research study aims to better understand how information collected from smartphones and wearable devices relates to stress, cognitive function, sleep, heart health, physical activity, daily movement, and overall well-being.

By collecting information during normal daily life and combining it with brief questionnaires, researchers hope to better understand how everyday behaviors and physiological changes are associated with stress and cognitive status.

What Will You Do?

⌚ Wear a Provided Fitbit

Wear a study-provided Fitbit during the three-month study period.

📱 Use Your Smartphone

Use your own smartphone with the study application running during participation.

📝 Weekly Stress Surveys

Complete brief weekly questionnaires about your stress and well-being.

🎙️ Weekly Voice Journals

Record short weekly audio journal entries about your experiences and how you have been feeling.

📈 Optional Glucose Monitoring

You may choose to participate in optional Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) monitoring to learn about blood sugar patterns.

🔬 Contribute to Research

Help researchers explore new approaches for studying stress, cognition, and digital health.

Who Can Participate?

  • Female students at the University of Houston
  • Age 18 or older
  • Not on daily prescribed medications
  • Not pregnant
  • Not recently hospitalized
