Our main goals are to research disease biomarkers and pathogenic mechanisms, primarily in autoimmune diseases and selected cancers, as well as to nurture the research interests of next-generation scientists and clinicians. The broad research themes include the following
I. Identification of disease biomarkers that can be used for early diagnostics or monitoring disease or treatment response
II. Defining biological pathways and therapeutic targets in lupus and lupus nephritis
III. Imaging of end-organ disease in lupus and systemic autoimmunity
IV. Improved technologies for diagnosing lupus nephritis pathology
V. Various Biomedical Engineering Pilot projects
